The Wrap 4 A Smile Foundation will host a Grand Opening for its new Secaucus office and volunteer site on Friday, March 1 at 5:00 pm.
The foundation, which was founded by Secaucus resident Kevin Williams in 2005, is focused on community outreach to those less fortunate, encouraging youth to participate in local community service projects and promoting public healthcare programs.
The Grand Opening will begin with a networking reception followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:00 pm and will feature appetizers, beverages, live entertainment and giveaways.
According to the Foundation:
Wrap 4 A Smile Foundation, Inc. supports programs and initiatives by: providing hygiene supplies that cannot be purchased by food stamps; facilitating the collection and distribution of food, clothing, and school supplies; and promoting educational and service learning activities. Wrap 4 A Smile provides bags with personal care items that are packed by its volunteers and distributed to those less fortunate. Since it was established in 2005, Wrap 4 A Smile Foundation has distributed tens of thousands of toiletry kits to individuals around the world. Its efforts have improved the lives of thousands of individuals.
Over the past eight years, the foundation has collaborated with corporate sponsors and individuals to raise over $50,000.00 in funding that help support its various programs. It recognizes youth volunteerism by certifying service hours through Congressional Awards and Presidential Volunteer Service Awards and also provides guidance with resume writing and job references.
The foundation is hoping the new office and volunteer location at 739 Irving Place can help meet its needs for services and programs to help fight poverty and stop hunger.
